Asset Management Specialist

We are looking for an Asset Management Specialist, who can understand and translate asset management best practice, support the team to find appropriate solutions to difficult or complex issues through to resolution, imbed solutions into BAU and provide asset management advice and support to senior leaders.  Reporting to the Asset Manager, the Asset Management Specialist will also help set the direction for the management of the portfolio along a pathway of continuous improvement, provide asset management support to the maintenance team through the development of improvement programmes, support the tenancy management function of Tāmaki Housing Association (THA) through the delivery of warm dry homes, and provide programme management expertise for specialized housing projects.  Another key area of focus will be to support the development of short and long term programmes e.g. planned maintenance and budget requirements. 

This is a varied role requiring outstanding asset management and communication skills. You’ll need a collaborative approach, and your CV will clearly indicate your previous successes gained while working in other asset management roles in New Zealand.  You’ll be familiar with property projects and understand risk, performance and cost management.  You’ll have experience in the management of a large asset portfolio and have had exposure to the full asset lifecycle.  Ideally you’ll have a tertiary qualification in Asset, Property or Facility Management, and a familiarity with asset data and asset information management systems.  Previous experience working in social housing would be beneficial.   It’s essential you are analytical and outcomes-focused with the ability to translate strategy into operational delivery.  Your attention to detail and ability to focus and work autonomously will be attributes you’re widely recognized for.
